Cheddar's not just a cheese

Guess what! We have big news at our house. We got a new puppy and his name is Cheddar. We watch the TV show Brooklyn Nine-Nine on Netflix, and Cheddar is the name of the TV character Captain Holt’s dog. The TV Cheddar is a Corgi, but our Cobourg Cheddar is a mini golden mountain doodle, meaning he’s a mix of Golden Retriever, Bernese Mountain Dog and poodle.

He is the most adorable puppy, very playful and loving. He and Boop the cat have started to get along and play, after she made it clear she is the boss. He has lots of toys and likes his pink telephone toy the best, as well as a raccoon. He is very smart and has learned to sit, lay down and shake a paw and is pretty good at rolling over. He also will fetch his toys and enjoys running up and down the hall practicing his retrieving.

He is white with gold patches, like Peaches my pony. He has met Peaches and had his pictures taken with his matching pony.

He loves pretty much everything about life, including attacking my plants in the garden, chasing his toys and going for walks in the park. He really loves kids and every time he sees one on a walk, he wants to go meet them. Two boys were waiting for the school bus and asked to pet him and he was so excited. He was

licking them, squirming and rolling on the ground with them. One of the boys said he’d trade his brother for a puppy like Cheddar.

I know when you meet Cheddar, he is going to be so excited to meet you and play with you. I hope you like dog kisses and throwing dog toys for a puppy to retrieve!
