Pumpkin time

Orange you glad it's fall? I mean, aren't you happy it's pumpkin season? They are everywhere around here. There is a big field of pumpkins at the farm where Peaches lives. She wonders what all these big orange balls are, but doesn't want to get too close. It's time for pumpkin pie! That's not one of my favourite pies, but lots of people love it, including Pepere. Thanksgiving will be happening in less than two weeks and pumpkins play a big part of it. Aunt Terri always arranges a pumpkin carving contest, and it's become a family tradition. We all hope we get one of the good knives as it's easier to carve our masterpieces. There's not really a prize, but we just all admire our work and decide whose is best. After dark, we light them up and they look sort of spooky. You enjoyed playing with the pumpkins at Burnham Market and at Aunt Terri's cottage one Thanksgiving. I think your baby cousin Hadrian will love pumpkin time too. He has the most adorable sleeper with pumpkins on it!
